The Archaeological Park of Ostia Antica is one of the largest archaeological sites in the world, second only to that of Pompeii. The route to visit with the public monuments, houses and production facilities offer a great testimony of daily life at the time of ancient Rome.

How to get

By public transport: From Eur Magliana, take the ROMA LIDO train to the Ostia Antica stop; cross the pedestrian bridge and follow the signs. On Saturdays and holidays it is possible to take the train from Porta San Paolo (Piramide).
By car: Reach Viale dei Romagnoli 717 – Rome

Opening days: Tuesday to Sunday and holidays.
Opening hours: 8.30
Closing time:

From 25 October to 28 (or 29) February: last admission 3.30pm with exit 4.30pm;
Between 1st March to 31st March: last admission 4.15pm with exit 5.15pm;
From 1st April to 30th September: last admission 6.00 pm with exit 7.00 pm;
From 1st October to 24th October: last admission 5.30pm with exit 6.30pm.

The archaeological site is closed on Mondays, 1 January, 1 May and 25 December and the days with free admission are suspended for the entire duration of the COVID 19 health emergency period.

Full € 12; reduced € 2 (for young people from the European Union aged 18 to 25)
Full online € 14; reduced online € 4 (for young people from the European Union aged 18 to 25)

The purchase of tickets with cash payment is not available, it is possible to pay at the ticket office only by debit and credit card.
